Black Lives Matter Protest

It’s been about a week since George Floyd was brutally murdered at the hands of a police officer.

A few days had passed and I really didn’t feel as if I had done enough. So I went to a local protest to know what it feels like to be fighting for something you believe in. My favorite part of the rally was that everyone was there for one reason. To fight for a cause. Because everyone was there for the same thing, they were all so accepting of who was there to help. As we stood on the sidewalks protesting, cars honked in respect as they drove by. That was really that stood out to me. It showed me that together we are stronger.

I really think that the black lives matter protest helped me have a better look at how I can help. I’m going back as many days as I can I can because I want to use my voice in support.
